Went with mwiscount to Churchkey after spending the afternoon at 3 Stars Brewing and sampling 4 of their beers. Was happy to find this 5th beer on tap, as I had not properly reviewed any of the delicious samples. It's a special edition of Southern Belle, the imperial brown ale, cask conditioned with vanilla bean and cocoa nibs. What a treat. It was practically black with a very light cap and a roasted aroma of vanilla and sweet caramel. The flavor, on the other hand, is a strong cocoa over an almost smokey sweet coffee, but not acidic at all. It tasted deliciously of a cool glass of fine hot chocolate. Barely carbonated and silky smooth. Lovely.
