The main distinguishing feature of the Avilys Restaurant is its unique beer, which is cooked up in the restaurant premises and made from honey. The name of this restaurant means "beehive" in Lithuanian. This is not only a restaurant but also a mini-brewery, which is kind of rarity in Lithuania. This is one of the best beer places around. Visitors can watch there how beer is brewed and instantly taste it while it's fresh. Located in the heart of Vilnius on the street named after the Grand Duke Gediminas, this restaurant could be both an excellent place for business dinner and great place to spend evening with your friends in pleasant, red-brick cellar atmosphere. Specialties include hot beer soup and beer grog. You'll be also offered a lot of meat, fish, chicken meals and soups with beer as one of the main ingredients. Even among deserts there is "beer ice cream" and "fruits in beer jelly". So dinning there is quite a unique and exciting experience.
