Pours a dark amber/copper color with a small thick head that lingers for a couple minutes and leaves a very nice lacing. The aroma is very sweet and malty, with feint hints of caramel and other aromas. The taste is very sweet with caramel and brown sugar being the dominant flavors. It's also very bready. The hops come through stronger in the finish giving it a slightly bitter and floral taste. The mouth feel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.

A very traditional version of the style. A bit heavy on the corn in the nose but not in flavor, its actually quite clean tasting. The beer was burnt orange to pale amber, almost no head, I did pour it like a sally though. I love the style, especially this year, and this is another good one courtesy of Kinger.

This release is heads and tails above last year's batch. Tons of caramelized malt with a slight vanilla sweetness. Grassy noble hops, buttered toast and toffee. Amber-copper color with a lasting foamy head and stringy lacing. Incredible malty mouth feel on the sweeter side of the style spectrum and really enjoyable to put back. Much improved and a great local Oktoberfest.
