Bière blonde au froment donc claire et fraîche. Très agréable l'été, elle ressemble à une blanche mais c'est une blonde !

750 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the Esquelbecq stemmed tulip glass an opaque amber-orange coloured BdG with a short two fingers slightly beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is wheat malts, spicy, cloves, fruity, citrus and nutty notes. The flavour is heavy wheaty malts, yeast, herbs, rosmarin, thyme, cooked vegetables, cabbages and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is crispy, round and nice sour bitter. This light to medium bodied BdG has a long herbal bitter finish. A pleasant and very refreshing BdG with, for me, unexpected herbal tones.

Sampled on 3/13/2010. This Traditional Ale pours a reddish amber color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruit, spices and sweet. A medium bodied traditional ale. The malts are caramel, bready and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Kind of spicy and bready. Very drinkable sipping beer. Mouthfeel is fulland round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a thick white head. Fresh yeast, fruit and honey in the aroma. Quite pleasant tasting; sweet and fruity (melon/peach?) with honey in the finish. Nice medium body, low carbonation, smooth and creamy mouthfeel with just a bit of fizz at the end. I like it; very good.
