Brewed to have a very powerful hop aroma, this IPA is a very well balanced beer. It has plenty of hop flavor to go around. This beer received the silver medal at the 2003 North American Brewers Festival.

Nose practically non-existent. Flavor not much better. Bitterness but no hop flavor or aroma, little fruit. Malty, not in a good way. Just tastes old. This is an out of market beer we got for a festival. You think they wouldn't send old ----. You'd be wrong.

Comes out of the tap an attractive, somewhat hazy dark amber. I'm not sure about the head, since the server didn't allow for much of one, but it did leave some scattered lacing. Aroma is strongly hoppy and evergreen with an undertone of sour orange. Flavor is evergreen hoppy, like any really good IPA, and has a sour citrus undertone that is mainly orange with hints of grapefruit. Texture is quite fizzy and edgy, leaving a nice hoppy tingle.
