Small 330ml bottle (thanks Cal) Pours a hazey light straw color with a linen white cap...modest retention and lace. Good nose for a Franconian Pils; rising biscuit dough over woody-twiggy leafy nobel hopping. Nice hop bite in the front receeds to let malts empart a permating biscuit taste, balanced by herbal-earthy tones....clean lightly dry finish with a light hop bite at the end. Nicely done organic unfiltered lager but muted....I suspect the export version is pasteurized for stability and that process removes a good deal of the natural taste of this beer (which is the whole point of producing an unfilterd beer). I’d like to try this on tap fresh.
