Strong aroma is crisp and malty with a fruity undertone, mainly apple plus some pear. Pours a clear, bubbly amber with a thick, fluffy ivory head. Malty flavor has hoppy and fruity hints, typical but still pleasing. Smooth texture has a fair amount of tingle and firmness. Prost!

This is quitre possibly the grainiest Oktoberfest I've ever had. A beautiful shimmering gold color with a huge white head. But after that is was just grainy malt, and maybe a little much on the sweet side as well.

Certainly not the best Oktoberfest I've ever tried. Stays true to the style pretty much, but falls short in several areas. Not quite as much fruit in the aroma or taste for my liking.

An orange amber colored beer. Big off white frothy head. Some hand time. Settles into a light lacing. Some dusting on top anda soapy ringlet along the side. Nice blending of caramel, spicy hops and yeast rise to the nose. A light bodied beer. Plenty carbonated. Big bold flavors of malt and and spicy hops. This is what I call a Marzen

By far the best of the Penn offerings I've tried. Pale amber/copper color, decent head and lacing. Full of malty goodness. Sweet, toasty and nutty with a crisp finish. I liked it.

Wow this was one hell of an oktobrtfest beer. Penn's fest beer poured with a dark copper color topped off by a fluffy off white head that left very nice lace down the sides of the glass. Aroma was malty and sweet with some nutty tones coming through as well. The mouthfeel was full bodied, rich and thick a very plesent suprise given the style. The flavor was a treat as well with rich sweet malts, nutty flavors and a nice little touch of hops in the finish to balance it out.

KCC 6. Commemorating the Oct 12, 1810, wedding of Prince Ludwig und Princess Therese with barley malts and Bavarian Hallertau hops. Orange amber color, persistent off-white foam, wispy lace trails are evident till the last sip. Awesome aroma, so malty sweet it smells more like honey. All I know is, a couple sips and this beauty was gone! I want some more!!

Pours a nice orange amber with a decent head. No lacing. Aromas of citrus and malt, mouthfeel has a bit of a twang to it. Flavors of hops and malt and well really it pretty much tastes like beer. Not really *that* much going on here, but all around it is a decent example of the style.

Penn Oktoberfest pours to a deep amber color with a nice, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is a delight. Strike up the ompah pah band, your in Germany. Deep toasty, nutty, malt aromas flood the nose. There is just the right amount of hop aromatics in the nose as well, but you really can smell those wonderful malt aromas. The palate delivers more of the same. What a great depth of malt flavor and character. More toasty and nutty malt flavor. This mouth feel is slick, round, and clean. This beer finishes with more great malt flavor then is balanced with a good hop bitterness. This is an outstanding domestic example of Octoberfest/Marzen. This beer is the perfect match for German fare. I would match this with a big plate of grilled bratwurst, saurkraut, spatzel, and pumpernickel. Prost!
