Poured an opaque black color, crimson edges, a tan head, and nice lacing. Aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee, dark fruits, and a little hop. The taste was full of sweet chocolate. vanilla, coffee and toffee, some fig, lightly peppered, and a slight alcohol finish. Soft and creamy mouthfeel. I’ve never heard of a summer imperial stout, but wouldn’t object if more people made them like this.
