Sampled at the brewpub. Frothy beige head, bubbly, with average retention, foamy lacing and hazy caramel-amber colour. Fruity nose with red apples, caramel malts and hints of raisins, dates. A little tarty in the mouth, mildly dry. Lots of fruits returning in the flavours with a slight warming of alcohol and hops in the finish. Quite a nice doppelbock that is great for this cold weather.
