Mumblegeuse was an ancient Syrian djinn best used to help reclaim lost parts of one's self that may have been misplaced along one's travels of time. With the beer Mumblegeuse, Illuminated Brew Works has employed 2-row flaked oats and flaked rye to create a creamy body for this Double Dry Hopped Double IPA. For the hops we've reached back to a couple American standards for that good old juicy myrcene extraction - Cascade and Simcoe - providing notes of apricot, stone fruit and citrus. The result is a perfect beer for sipping across Autumnal days. And what's better than Autumn for paying homage to Mumblegeuse and all we've left behind?

Pours translucent apricot with a fairly thick, if not long-lasting, parchment head. Aroma yields piney hops, citrus, tropical and crisp malty notes. Flavor delivers serious piney hops, zesty citrus, sweet tropical, crisp malty and subtle rye tones. Texture provides firm, smooth body and peppy, ragged fizz. Now, what of my shattered past can I recover? Pleasant things, I hope.
