Growler into a snifter - hazed orange, thick and creamy head with a lot of hop residue in the glass. Simcoe dominated aromas of resiny pine, ripe grapefruit, accompanied with a pleasant tropical note. Very creamy mouthfeel and a long finish but no notice of the 8 percent abv. Flavors of bitter pine, lemon citrus, and tropical pineapple. The bitterness lingers long after a sip is taken. This is a top tier double ipa, deftly crafted and extremely smooth.
