Pours a huge frothy and bubbly white head and has a hazy golden/light amber appearance with small sediments visible. Some decent sticky lacing remains. Excessive carbonation. Aromas are a little bit smoky, pears, yeast and malts. Flavours are quite smoky as in aroma. Smoky malt notes of course as well as yeast, wheats, hints of pears, some earthy and resin hop notes. Quite fruity. Has a little bit of a tarty mouthfeel, very slight sour finish. Full bodied. An odd brew but still enjoyable.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with white cap, decent stay and some thick creamy lower lace. Oh wow ! Was not expecting a smokey Rauchbier, but this one smells like smoke, burnt wood and the fruit very mild in the background, creating some light sweetness. The pear does smooth down the smokies in the taste. Burnt grain with the fruit appearing in the middle. Hints of apples and then, the smoke mildly lingers. Interesting fruity pear Rauchbier. I little too rich overall to finish the bottle (but did nonetheless).
