To help aid you on your quest for the perfect fall thirst “quencher”, our brewers at FBC have been tirelessly at work coming up with a delicious malt centric, well-balanced, traditional Oktoberfest style Marzen, with a Florida twist, called Conchtoberfest. This brew will transport you from the beach and place you in a Bavarian beer hall, where you will be clanking steins and “Prosting” while eating your weight in pretzels and beer cheese soup. Conchtoberfest is brewed with the highest quality 2-Row and Munich malts followed by using German Traditional and Tettnang hops that will impart a subtly low hop bitterness balanced with a smooth malty taste.

Living in Florida almost all my life, I've never really been a fan of this company's labels, going as back as Hurricane Reef, etc. The thing that saves this beer is the flavor, as it is average at best for the style...but not really that bad, and is drinkable at least. Appearance is dull orange, with that flat look, which feel also reflects. Glad I got on clearance for $1, as I won't buy beers from this brewer normally.

Packaged in unigue blue bottles. As such packaging is an eye cathcher. More orange colored than amber. A disappointing small soapy head rises briefly above. It settles fairly quickly leaving a thin ringlet. A light grassy note in the nose. Barely discernable. The grassiness is dominate in the tasting. A sweet cereal grain. Medium bodied and smooth enough. Drinkable, I just won't order this much more.
