Via grrumet. It's a;ways a bit odd for me to try a smaller stout aged in barrels. I've had very good, and a few failures. This is more success than failure, though I'd still choose to barrel bigger brews. No indication of style on the bottle, and first whiff before pouring has hints of astringency and sour. Pours quite dark w/khaki head. A little on the tingly side, obviously not as thick as most BBA stouts, but it works with the flavor of light whiskey, heavy roast, coffee, chocolate and oak. Juuuust a hint of the astringent in there as well, but the flavor was superior to the nose. Good brew, flaws and all.
