Pours a small frothy brownish head and has a very dark brown appearance, almost pitch black. No lacing whatsoever. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, light spices, toffee. Seems to be a bit yeasty in the finish. Flavours of chocolate, toffee, cocoa, more coffee notes. Also some notes of nuts and roasted malts. Not too bad just not as chocolatey as expected. Still pretty good.

Thanks to PaleAleRider for getting this one from the brewery and sharing. Bottled OCT 02 2013. Pours a dark brown colour with a warm beige head that disappears quick enough a leaves just a creamy ring around the bottom. Roasted malt nose with hints of chocolate, but mild, with some dark fruits. The taste is malty with the roasted malts showing lightly in the finish. Some fruity yeast eventually shows up. A nice Imperial Porter with the chocolate being a bit too mild. Wish it was a little more powerful.
