Pours a clean amber colour with a frothy off-white head that has decent retention and nice full foamy lacing. Fruity malts aromas with a little spices. Taste is pretty close to the nose, with some fruity notes, caramel malt and spices rounding everything. Quite refreshing for such a malty beer with more body than most in this style.

Mondial de la Bière 2009. Poured in the brewery taproom a deep amber colored beer with a white foamy head that had a good retention. Nice lacing. The aroma is malty and a little sourish. The flavour is spicy, cloves, coriander, hints of caramel. The finish of this light bodied beer is quite dry.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with a dry aftertaste. Taste is also a weird mix between some unrefined grainy malt with a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. I must admit this is the first disappointment from this new brewery; this beer definitely lack direction and fall between styles.
