A well-balanced brew with the addition of dried peppermint leaves during the final minutes of brewing gives it a subtle peppermint flavour that lingers. It has a smooth mouthfeel and is clear pale gold in colour. This festive brew is complimented by the inclusion of fuggles and Northern Brewer hops, which have a slightly minty flavour.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy off-white head and has a fairly clean golden coppery appearance. Some thick dirty lacing. Lively carbonation. Aromas of herbal and floral hops, a bit of pine and grass as well. Flavours are mostly piney and herbal hops, the peppermint is noticeable not long afterwards, mainly in the finish. Slick and cooling mouthfeel. Not bad.

On this Christmas night, no peppermint canes - but a beer of it. Can that pours a clean amber colour with a big frothy-bubbly beige head that stays a while, leaving some nice lacing. Really smells like candy canes. A minty nose with the caramel malts giving added sweetness. The taste is more like an IPA with the grains showing well, and the mint adding a cool freshness to the flavours. Interesting, and well-brewed for the blend of styles.
