The beer pours a solid dark brown with a generous frothy brown head. Lacing blanketed the inside of the gloass. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and hints of butterscotch. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is nutty malt, molasses, and coffee and the alcohol is noticeable, but not in a bad way.

440ml can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head and has a deep dark brown coloured appearance. Some decent sticky dirty lacing remains. Moderate carbonation. Good retention. Aromas of earthy and grassy hops, light roasted barley malts, hints of brown sugar. Flavours are mostly roasted malt, earthy hops, brown sugar sweetness, hints of caramel malt. Good balance of sweetness and mild bitterness. Smooth and slick mouthfeel.

Can that pours clean dark brown colour with copper highlights. The frothy head is warm mocha-coloured with good retention and some spotted foam lacing. Roasted malt nose with molasses, apples and maple syrup. Enough bitterness for an Imperial Brown Ale. Smooth, silky mouthfeel with some decent dryness in the finish. Fruity malt flavours, good hops. Alcohol doing its job. Not a bad Impy Brown Ale.
