Harpoon employees contributed their homegrown hops to the recipe, which include Cascade, Challenger, Willamette, and Tettnang hop varieties. The combination of Caramel and Midnight Wheat malt gives this beer a sturdy malt character, while locally sourced sage and thyme add a bit of spice. The result is a full-bodied amber ale with a malty sweetness and lingering spiciness.

Pours clear, bubbly chestnut with a thick golden-buff head. Strongly hoppy aroma presents tempting hay and fruity notes, with evergreen and fresh malt in the background. Flavor bursts with hops, resiny and evergreen, strong hay and more subtle fruit that is part pomme and part citrus, minimal bitterness, more than a bit of malt, a hint of herbs. Mouthfeel features fairly firm and smooth body, and some good fizz. Ehop to it!
