Power & Light tastes just right! A simplified version of our original Pale Ale, which took home a 2014 Good Food Award, Power & Light Pale is a crisp, hoppy and refreshing American pale ale. Power & Light Pale has a slightly lower ABV than it had been, making it even more drinkable. We adjusted the malt by adding pilsen malt, which produces a very crisp finish. We also toned back the hops a little, using Cascade hops to give a pleasant hoppy aroma and flavor that does not overpower the beer. The name and design was inspired by the iconic Seaholm plant. “As a longtime Austinite, I have always loved the Seaholm plant,” says co-founder Amy Cartwright. “When it was functional it was one of the most important places in Austin, almost acting as the ‘heart of the city’. I believe that we should always find ways to embrace history without forgetting the past and make it our own, which is why we were so inspired by this iconic building.” Follow news and events related to Power & Light with the hashtag #AustinPowered

nice hoppy aroma, fresh cut grass, faint tropical fruit, and as it warms sweet malts start poking through. Average yellow body with a few lazy bubbles that create a thin soapy cap that leaves some decent lace. Crisp mouthfeel from the carbonation, light but not watery. Flavor swings towards the malt profile, with only the grassy hop bitterness, which lingers ever so slightly. Seems to be a pilsner/ pale ale hybrid. Overall i wish the hops would have played a bigger part in the flavor but its pretty decent regardless.
