True to its Boontling moniker, “Huge Arker” is a massive force of nature that detonates on your tongue. After primary fermentation, the beer is aged in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels until it fully matures. The deep mahogany color is evocative of the opulence to follow. Dark luscious aromas of burnished oak mingle with candy sugar, bourbon and hearth-baked bread. The luxurious flavors redolent of honey and molasses are intertwined with the richness of dark chocolate and the ardent warmth of alcohol, underpinned with hints of coffee, vanilla and dark fruits. ABV from 11% to 13.5% in 2014.

Pours opaque coffee brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Roast malt aroma has fruity, molasses, bourbon, woody and mocha notes plus a touch of honey sweetness. Rich flavor takes it up a notch - roast malt, molasses, bourbon-soaked wood, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate; hints of honey and fruit. Texture is thick and viscous, just none to fizzy. Still, this brewski is no turkey! Drink it slowly.

A black-brown colored beer with a big light brown, sudsy textured head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles, though into a thin ringlet. Very whiskey in profile, both nose and in tasting. High octane, hides any beer that might have been presence. Light, smooth and again, whiskey supping.

Nearly identical barreling to the smaller oatmeal stout. Black body, everlasting fluffy brown head. Not a huge fan of wild turkey, but they did such a good job with this one. doesn't get hot til near room temperature, where the abv rears its head. smooth chocolate, vanilla, oak and bourbon throughout. excellent sipper, though it's price point is a bit high for a "cheap" barrel.
