A balanced, soft, and juicy IPA. Ripe passion fruit and citrus hop aroma lead to a full, fruit-forward hop flavor that washes over the palate, ending with subtle bitterness. Some folks say they don’t like hoppy beers, and to that we say that hops do not equal bitterness. To us, hops offer a plethora of flavors, not just bitterness; and in Tropicália it’s a beautiful, luscious, fruit journey for your palate to enjoy without fatigue.

Buddy brought this down from GA for our semi-annual beer tasting. I brought the Due South Hopicana. This is a lighter, less malty version of that. Can taste the orange here, but doesn't hit as strong and bitter up front. Maybe a little smoother than the Hopicana too, as the feel isn't as heavy. I'd need to sample more of this to get a better idea, but seems like a pretty solid brew.

Can courtesy of my friend Jay. Thanks! Hazy amber with a tall, frothy white head. Aroma is big citrus and tropical fruit notes with floral hops and soft caramel. Big citrus fruit up front followed by tropical fruit, floral hops, sweet malt and caramel. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more big citrus notes, tropical fruit, caramel, sweet malt and light grains. Yummy!

Comes out of the growler a clear amber with a thick and frothy eggshell head. Strong, hoppy aroma has firm fruity notes of tangerine and apple. Hoppy flavor is more sweet than bitter, thanks to zingy tangerine and tropical fruit notes plus a hint of apple; malt provides a nice underpinning. Lively texture is firm and fizzy. Enjoy some tropical comfort!
