I guess this is the first brew I have from this brewery since they were bought-out by McAuslan. Their latest installment in the "Sainte-Paix" series has grapefruits and oranges. Big brown bottle with a cork and cage. Pours a hazy golden colour with slight pink hues. Lots of vivid carbonation creating a big off-white head, foamy, good retention and soapy lacing. Beautiful spicy smell with the Belgian Ale yeast, spices, oranges and hints of grapefruits. The taste is good, but lacking the power the nose gives out. The oranges are again more dominant than the grapefruits, so not the IPA feel. Mixed with caramel and grainy notes. Still really, but wish it had a little more punch to it and more spices in the mouth. Quite interesting fruit beer on the lees.
