This NW style sour ale is a blend of blond wheat beers that are barrel aged for over six months, then aged on organic Chilean blackberries for an additional five months. Dusty floral notes lead into tart blackberries and currants on the nose. Bright tart berries and dark fruit on the palate transition to a soft lingering dry tartness in the finish.

This was a special one for me because it was the first barrel I saw tapped at the Cascad Barrel House for "Tap it Tuesday". I made it there just in time to see a guy hammer the tap into the barrel. I got my glass shortly thereafter. This one has a crazy pink, fluffy head and lacing. Sour dark fruit aroma. Very tart and sour, the way I like them. Mouth puckering finish is great. The Chilean blackberries are an interesting twist. One of the best I've had here, and I've had quite a lot by now.
