Maybe one of my least favorite beers from Summit. Even on tap at the brewery, I didn't enjoy it. Bananas, oranges, spice and yeast abound but are maybe too overpowering to really enjoy this beer.

I really like what I've had from Summit Brewing and have wanted to try this beer since it joined the lineup. Finally I was able to come across it as part of their Summer Sampler. A real nice Witbier, fairly true to style yet there is something different with this one that's tough to place. Rich golden pour with an orange tint. Medium sized, white head and good lacing. Aroma is fruity with orange, lime, and banana. A touch of spicy coriander adds to an invigorating aroma. Zesty, fresh mouth feel that is quenching and satisfying. Good flavor, a mirror of the aroma. Fruity and spicy with a fresh, dry wheat quality. I did notice a faint bitterness within the aftertaste, perhaps a sturdy hop addition made it's way into this recipe.

"Pick-A-Six" time. #2 : Scandia Ale. Kinda has a funky smell and taste to it , kinda like rotting fruit. Little to no head. Nice fizzy feeling to it. Goes down fairly smooth. But overall not o very good beer, the taste of it is not a very good one. Will Not drink Again.

Nice beer overall Pours a cloudy orange colour with plenty of wheat, soft floral aromas, creamy taste. It had a peppery finish after each sip and a unique fruity mouthfeel. Pleasent coriander-orange flavors.. pears, bananna, lemon were noticeable. Great brewery we do not hear enough of.

Kicking off my Belgian and Belgian-like weekend with this limited release from Summit, apparently Belgian via Scandinavia, according to the website blurb I pasted above. A very cloudy, apricot yellow with a fluffy and puffy white head and tenacious sheets of lacing. Fragrance is really spiced, but not unpleasantly so, with the promised cardamom and coriander notes, atop a citrusy base. Fizzy and well-carbonated, and a flavor full of spiced yeast. A very refreshing beer that I'll buy again.
