Framboise, French for "raspberry", is a Belgian-style fruit lambic. Made with more than 4,600 pounds of raspberries, 50% wheat at a gravity of 14°p it has all the makings of a great summer time beer. Highly carbonated, it produces a wonderfully pink, lacey head. The burgundy color foretells of intense raspberry aromas. A nice, sweet start finishing with a tart and acidic finish that is light and refreshing.

Poured a dark red with noticable carbonation and a strong berry aroma. The taste started out sweet and finished with strong sour notes. I tasted this both on its own and with a meak. I would reccomend drinking this with food or at least something like a mild cheese. On its own the bitterness was over powering.

Pours a hazy dark rusty red with a thin layer of foam that doesn't stick around long. Aroma is sweet and tart raspberry, some grassiness and some hay, but isn't nearly sour or funky enough to be considered a lambic. Flavor starts off with sweetish tartish raspberry, and gradually dries out to reveal some mustiness. Very drinkable tasty beer, not surprised it's going on to be in the encore series, but falls short of expectations as far as "Belgian-style fruit lambic."
