2151 | Flying Monkeys Paranormal Imperial Pumpkin Ale | Canada | Spiced Beer | 4.0
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 473ml can
10.0% ABV
Canned On: August 18, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
October 30, 2020
$4.95
The beer pours a translucent amber colour with heavy effervescence, and a huge creamy, yet rocky light tan head which lasted a while. The aroma was definitely pumpkin pie in a glass with some bready malts thrown in as well. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is just as the aroma would indicate….pumpkin pie in a glass. Sadly, they were unable to hide the 10% alcohol, but it’s warming the belly, and it’s cold outside. I really like the first few sips of this! |

2152 | Side Launch Mule Lager | Canada | Spiced Beer | 2.3
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 473ml can
4.4% ABV
Canned On: October 29, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
January 22, 2021
$3.45
The beer pours a very pale straw colour with a very short lived white head that recedes to very few bubbles. The aroma is dominated by the ginger, but there are notes of earthy hops, cereal malt, and light yeast. It says lime on the can, but I don’t sense any. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is awful. The peppery heat overpowers the malt and ginger notes and there is little bitterness in the finish. |

Ontario, Canada)
September 29, 2018
$3.35
The beer poured a slightly hazed orange-red colour with a generous fluffly light tan head which didn't last very long. The aroma was all pumpkin at the start, but eventually grainy notes, weak spices, and musty hops filtered into the mix. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, although carbonation was light (the beer isn't even 3 weeks old!). The flavour started out with a tart fruity note before the bitter pumpkin notes set in. These were rounded out by the usual graininess and pumpkin pie spices. Nothing spectacular here. |
