956 | Shipyard Pugsley's Signature Series: Smashed Blueberry | United States | Fruit Beer | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 625ml bottle
9.0% ABV
Queen's Quay LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
June 17, 2012
The beer poured a solid dark brown with a very thin head. Blueberries dominate the aroma, a good way. A little bit of sweet malt and not a lot else. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour definitely has hints of Scotch Ale in it as there is a definite molasses note, some sweet malt, graininess and a hint of blueberries. By the end of the beer, the alcohol was definitely noticeable in both the aroma and taste. |

965 | Kona Wailua Wheat | United States | Fruit Beer | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 12oz bottle
5.4% ABV
A gift from a friend who just got back from a wedding in Hawaii. Who would have thought that Passion fruit could be used to flavour a wheat beer? I get the sense that the underlying beer is more of a witbier than an American wheat. The beer pours a hazy yellow topped by a snow-white head. The aroma consist of wheat, spices, and light fruit (Passion I assume). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with mild carbonation. Flavour is slightly sweet, certainly not overpowering. |

The label says "The fruity pink beer" and it contains "aspartame". So, a fruity pink diet beer?

I tried this 'beer' on May 29, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a reddish pink colour with a thin white head that stuck around. The aroma was sour raspberries and grainy malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and highly carbonated. Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 6 330ml bottle
3.5% ABV
I tried this beer on September 2, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The bottle looked and felt more like a 250ml bottle than a 330ml bottle. The beer poured a hazy golden pink colour with a fizzy short-lived head. The aroma was very fruity with mango very apparent. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was sweet in a fruity sense (as opposed to the artificial sweetness in a Wittekerke Rose) with a little malt in the taste.

After reading the plethora of reviews from Canadian based beerpals, one has to wonder if it's available stateside (not that they're missing anything). |

This poured a beautiful maroon colour right out of the bottle with a beautiful raspberry aroma. The mouthfeel was crisp with some carbonation on the tongue. The beer started with a malty flavour with a lot of raspberry in it and finished with a crisp taste with a hint of raspberry. A truly wonderful experience for a fruit beer |
