929 | Juicebox Raspberry Lemonade Lager | Canada | Fruit Beer | 3.4

The aromas of raspberry and lemon overpower what little grain aroma there is. Hops are on the musty side. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is fruit forward with the raspberry coming first followed by the lemon. The grainy malt is in the background but well hidden. There is very little bitterness in the finish. |

Not worth trying again. |

944 | Lake Of Bays Red Sky At Night | Canada | Fruit Beer | 1.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: December 13, 2019
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 27, 2020
$3.25
“Transparent Pink”. That is the best way to describe this radler. Quite a lot of effervescence leading to a thin white ring for a head. Aroma is earthy grains, tart fruit, and sugary milk. The mouthfeel is thin bodied, almost spritzy, with above average carbonation. The flavour is milky and fruity all at the same time. Not an enjoyable radler by any stretch. |

945 | Waterloo Brewing Radler (Raspberry) | Canada | Fruit Beer | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: February 11, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent light rust colour with a short-lived generous head that quickly recedes to patches of white on top. Aroma is raspberry, fresh bread, and some tartness. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, carbonation is below average. The beer was canned 3 months ago, so maybe a little less than fresh. The flavour is all about the fruit, and there are few, if any, hints that there is a beer base involved. The fact that ‘beer’ is the first ingredient is in itself scary. The pineapple radler will come later. |

946 | Waterloo Brewing Radler (Pineapple) | Canada | Fruit Beer | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: January 28, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent pale yellow, and I can’t emphasize the word ‘pale’ enough. Quite a bit of effervescence, yet no real head, just a white film. The aroma is pineapple, pineapple, and more pineapple. The mouthfeel is thin and carbonation is high. The main thing you taste is pineapple, but there are some hints of grains on the back end. This is more of a pineapple soda with alcohol than a radler and would get a better score if it was marketed as such. |

Lacing is minimal down the glass. Aroma is wet grass, tropical fruits, and citrus. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma, very fruity. The finish has almost no hop bite whatsoever. Very easy to drink. |

948 | Broadhead Bodacious Blueberry Blonde Ale | Canada | Fruit Beer | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Had as 'Broadhead Blue Print Blueberry Blonde'
473ml can
5.0% ABV
Canned On: July 23, 2018
Main / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 12, 2018
$3.25
The beer pours a very translucent metallic gold colour with a generous white head which doesn’t last very long. As you pour the beer, the unmistakable smell of blueberries permeates the air. The aroma is blueberries, grainy malt, and musty hops….almost like stale blueberry eggos. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt with a bitter hop finish and a hint of blueberry. Blueberry beers always disappoint. |

949 | Pump House Crafty Radler | Canada | Fruit Beer | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 473ml can
4.0% ABV
Milton / Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 19, 2018
$3.35
The canned on / best before date is rather cryptic. The beer pours a golden pink colour with a bubbly white head which quickly disappears into a lively white film. The aroma is pink grapefruit, light wheat notes, and grass. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is pink grapefruit juice with a hint of alcohol. Quite possibly the least beery radler I’ve ever had. |

950 | Ace Hill Radler | Canada | Fruit Beer | 2.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 October 20, 2018
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
4.90% ABV
Canned On: July 19, 2018
$3.15
The beer pours a murky grapefruit colour with a generous white head which disappears right before your eyes. The aroma is more herbal than fruit, although one can detect notes of citrus, especially oranges, and there are milky notes. The aroma is pleasant, but nothing like a beer should smell like. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation, and I’m talking soft drink carbonation levels. The flavour is fruity with notes of orange, grapefruit, and lime and a touch of grainy malt. As a beer, this isn’t what I was hoping for, but it would make a great summer cooler/alcoholic soft drink for those who are into that sort of thing. . |
