November 25, 2007
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
375ml wrapped bottle
6.00% ABV
Bottled On: Unknown
$4.95
Bottle wrapper says 'Leifman's Kriekbier, biere aux cerises, 6% alc./vol'.
The beer is a beautiful ruby red in colour with a medium sized tan coloured head. The aroma is sour cherries and not much else. The mouthfeel is puckering, full-bodied, slightly creamy and champagny. The flavour is powerfully sour cherries, and a huge bite on the back of the tongue.

905 Guinness Extra Stout Canada Foreign / Extra Stout 2.8

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

July 9, 1998
Toby’s (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – First Canadian Place)
592ml Draught
5.00% ABV
$3.50
This is the beer that convinced me that Ales are not for me. I think the aroma is alright, and as for appearance, there is something about beer that looks like coffee that turns me off. Even the flavour wasn't that appealing to me. I found this to be a slightly bitter beverage. Even the mouthfeel felt very thick and strong with little in the way of carbonation. I'm the only person I know who doesn't really like Guinness so it's not you people...it's me.

908 Moosehead Small Batch Heritage Series: London Stout Canada Foreign / Extra Stout 3.1

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

473ml can
5.5% ABV
Canned On: November 15, 2018
LCBO #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge / Eglinton)
February 2, 2019
$3.10
The beer pours a coca-cola colour with a generous rocky tan coloured head that lasts several minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and notes of vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation….disappointing for a beer labelling itself as a ‘London Stout’. The flavour is roasted malt and watered down coffee. Not a great beer but not a bad beer. Certainly shows that a ‘large’ Canadian brewer can brew decent beers

911 Lake Of Bays Red Sky At Night Canada Fruit Beer 1.8

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: December 13, 2019
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 27, 2020
$3.25
“Transparent Pink”. That is the best way to describe this radler. Quite a lot of effervescence leading to a thin white ring for a head. Aroma is earthy grains, tart fruit, and sugary milk. The mouthfeel is thin bodied, almost spritzy, with above average carbonation. The flavour is milky and fruity all at the same time. Not an enjoyable radler by any stretch.

912 Waterloo Brewing Radler (Raspberry) Canada Fruit Beer 2.6

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: February 11, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent light rust colour with a short-lived generous head that quickly recedes to patches of white on top. Aroma is raspberry, fresh bread, and some tartness. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, carbonation is below average. The beer was canned 3 months ago, so maybe a little less than fresh. The flavour is all about the fruit, and there are few, if any, hints that there is a beer base involved. The fact that ‘beer’ is the first ingredient is in itself scary. The pineapple radler will come later.

913 Waterloo Brewing Radler (Pineapple) Canada Fruit Beer 1.9

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: January 28, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent pale yellow, and I can’t emphasize the word ‘pale’ enough. Quite a bit of effervescence, yet no real head, just a white film. The aroma is pineapple, pineapple, and more pineapple. The mouthfeel is thin and carbonation is high. The main thing you taste is pineapple, but there are some hints of grains on the back end. This is more of a pineapple soda with alcohol than a radler and would get a better score if it was marketed as such.

Lacing is minimal down the glass. Aroma is wet grass, tropical fruits, and citrus. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma, very fruity. The finish has almost no hop bite whatsoever. Very easy to drink.

750ml bottle
6.8% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
September 21, 2015
The beer pours a very hazy golden orange with a generous off-white head that takes a couple of minutes to settle into a quarter inch cap. The aroma is a lemon jelly doughnut.with some spices, yeast, and grains. Too much doughnut, not enough beer. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sickly sweet lemon custard, some metallic grainy notes, and a hint of yeast. I will not buy again!
