The aroma was a pungent mix of grainy malt, hops, and skunk. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, and highly carbonated. The flavour was a nice balance between the hops and the malt, not as grainy as other European pilseners! |

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
March 15, 2016
The beer pours a translucent golden-orange with a generous white head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is cereal malt, earthy hops, and hint of light citrus. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is weak with notes of cereal grains and light citrus. Better than a macro lager by several football fields...but still not anywhere close to craft lager territory. |

2136 | Descendants Reynard The Fox Golden Wry Ale | Canada | Rye Beer | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
April 20, 2017
The beer pours a transparent light gold colour with a generous creamy/bubbly head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma is very grainy with little hint of grain or hops. Not impressed so far.. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is very metallic with hints of rye and herbal hops, unfortunately not the 'spicy' rye I prefer. Like the beer I had earlier, this is not something I would try again. |

The aroma is very grainy, some herbal hops, and some off-putting acidic notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly above average carbonation. The flavour is grains and some bitter hops but for the most part is very non-descript. |

The aroma was papaya, mango, grass, and some mustiness. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour was pretty one dimensional with the grass notes up front and the tropical fruit hop flavours in back. Not a lot of bitterness and not a lot of depth. |

2139 | Sleeman Railside Session Ale | Canada | Mild Ale | 2.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.2% Abv
Canning Date: April 7, 2018
Real Canadian Superstore –Main/Thompson (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
April 21, 2018
$2.27
The beer pours a translucent amber colour with a generous foamy pinkish head which disappears in seconds. The aroma is caramel, grass, and weak floral hops. Not a citrusy note to be noted. The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with below average carbonation. Flavour is mild notes of caramel and grass with a weak bitter finish. As the beer is only 14 days from canning, I can’t chalk up the lack of aroma and body to age, only to it being a not so great beer. |

2140 | Whitewater Brewing Blood Moon | Canada | Wild Ale | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 April 29, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
4.8% ABV
Canned On: March 16, 2020
$3.25
This beer pours a translucent golden orange colour with a huge bubbly cap that acts like a soft drink and is gone within minutes. Not even a film on top. The aroma is tart orange, sour grains, and weak musty hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavour is tart orange soda with a hint of alcohol. Drinkable for sure, but not very beer like. |

2141 | Louis Cifer Coconut-Lemongrass Thai-PA | Canada | IPA | 2.6
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 473ml can
6.5% ABV
Canned On: January 13, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 30, 2020
$3.35
The beer pours a translucent golden red colour, with a decent sized bubbly light tan coloured head that lasts a maximum of two minutes. The first thing I smell is lemongrass followed by hints of coconut, wet grass, and light musty hop notes. The lemon grass almost gives it a shoe polish kind of nose. Not a good sign if you want me to drink your beer! The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The combination of the lemongrass and coconut give the flavour even more of a furniture / shoe polish note. They don’t meld together at all in this beer. |

2142 | Waterloo Brewing Radler (Raspberry) | Canada | Fruit Beer | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 May 26, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: February 11, 2020
$2.85
The beer pours a translucent light rust colour with a short-lived generous head that quickly recedes to patches of white on top. Aroma is raspberry, fresh bread, and some tartness. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, carbonation is below average. The beer was canned 3 months ago, so maybe a little less than fresh. The flavour is all about the fruit, and there are few, if any, hints that there is a beer base involved. The fact that ‘beer’ is the first ingredient is in itself scary. The pineapple radler will come later. |

2143 | Mill Street Key Lime Pie IPA (Nitro Charged) | Canada | IPA | 2.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 440ml can
5.40% ABV
Canned On: July 22, 2020
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
December 7, 2020
$3.95
I have a confession to make…………………I’ve never had key lime pie. The beer pours a very hazed golden brown with a very creamy, very large off-whire cap which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is graham crackers, lime, cream, and perfumey hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour if this beer is NOT WELL BALANCED between the sweet crust elements and the tart lime flavours. In fact, I think I’ve had enough after only two mouthfuls. |

2144 | Collective Arts Sour: Pomegranate and Grapefruit Sour | Canada | Wild Ale | 2.6

Lacing is decent and effervescence is high. The aroma has a lot of breadiness in it with hints of funk. No grapefruit notes that I can discern. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average mouthfeel. The flavour is yeasty with hints of tropical fruit and cereal grains. This would never be a favourite. |

2145 | Double Trouble Pecan Pie Porter | Canada | Porter | 2.6
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 473ml can
5.60% ABV
Best Before: June 2, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
March 12, 2021
$3.00
The beer pours a coca-cola colour with a huge frothy brown head which lasts a while. The aroma is one dimensional with hints of roasted malt and coffee. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied, undercarbonated, and both chalky and creamy. The flavour was as one-dimensional and the aroma with only bitter coffee and roasted malt coming through. For a simple porter, this was boring, yet very bitter. For a pecan Pie porter, this missed the mark completely as there was no pecan pie notes in either the aroma or flavour. |

The aroma is grains, citrus, and pine. The mouthfeel is very thin with average carbonation. The flavour mimics the aroma. Overall, this could pass for a watery IPA as the flavour is decent. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
4.3% ABV
Canned On: February 5, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
April 28, 2021
$3.95
The beer pours a hazed gold colour with a very thin white head which quickly recedes to nothing giving this a ‘flat sode’ look more than a beer look. Aroma is grains, funk, tart citrus, and yeast. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is similar to the aroma….quite grainy with tart passion fruit in the mix. Not something I’ll put in regular rotation. |

2148 | Four Fathers Brewing Light Lager | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 2.6

Topped off with a white head that leaves some weak lacing. The aroma is biscuit malt, light herbal hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied, but not watery, and the carbonation is average. The flavour takes me by surprised as there is a somewhat tangy and sour note. Not something I associate with light lagers. |

The aroma is wet grass, light citrus, and yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied, almost watery, and the carbonation is average. The flavour is tart citrus notes, some light wheat notes, and a weakly bitter finish. A huge disappointment from Great Lakes Brewery. |

2150 | Ace Hill Island Lager / Ace Hill Island Pineapple Lager | Canada | Pale Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 August 17, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
355ml can
5.50% ABV
Canned On: March 4, 2021
$2.95
The beer pours a hazy straw yellow colour with a generous creamy head that takes a while to recede, but leaves a lot of lacing. Once you open the can, the pineapple aroma is in your face. Once in the glass, aromas of cereal malts, light yeast, and musty hops join the party. The mouthfeel is ligt to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour tends to the tart side of the spectrum, with some grains and a definite salty presence on the tongue. Finish is more salty than bitter |
