The flavour was grainy malt, some yeast flavours, and a spicy hop finish. Easily me favourite beer from the Lost Craft lineup so far.

The aroma is biscuits, cereals, some citrus, some light fruit, and some herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, with average carbonation. The flavour tilts towards the malt side of things with notes of bread and cereal, but there is a slight bitter note in the finish.

Lacing was generous. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and licorice. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation, a bit light bodied for a porter. The flavour was smoked wood, roasted malt, coffee, and hints of sweet plums. An excellent tasting beer.

The aroma is tropical fruit like papaya, some grains, and light yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is mild compared to the aroma. Tropical citrus dominates with hints of grains and yeast. There is very little bitterness in the finish.

The aroma is tart fruit, grains, yeast, and citrus. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is tart fruit &#40;doesn’t really say ‘pomegranate to me’&#41;, and grains. Certainly more sour than bitter, but good for what it is.

The aroma is grainy malt &#40;I think I detect wheat&#41;, orange, tangerine, and lots of yeast. It smells like my old graduate lab bench in many ways. I might have been on to something 30 years ago and didn’t realize it. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is tart oranges and yeast. It was canned 5 months ago today so that may have taken out whatever sweet flavours there might have been – but it is Collective Arts, so who knows?

The aroma is light grapefruit, grains, pine, and weak caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, and average carbonation. The flavour is citrus forward, grassy, with a bitter hop finish. A decade ago this was often listed in Top 10 lists for Canada’s best IPAs, and I loved it, but I can’t believe what I had today is the same IPA served in 2010.

Quite a good effort from two of Ontario’s older craft breweries.

Flavour is all roasted malt and very bitter coffee. No noticeable vanilla in the flavour, but more importantly, no noticeable alcohol flavour either.

The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, with normal carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma, lots of fruit with pineapple and citrus. Not overly sweet. You feel the alcohol but don’t taste it.

The flavour is nicely balanced between the grains, the tart fruit notes, and the bitter hop finish. Possibly the best sour IPA I’ve ever had.

The flavour is grain forward with a nice dose of strawberry sweetness. Not a lot of hop bite in the finish, but the beer is quite enjoyable.
