2402 | Rogue Brutal Bitter | United States | Extra Special Bitter | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 650ml bottle
6.00% ABV (March 6, 2008 bottle)
6.20% ABV (March 18, 2010 bottle)
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
March 6, 2008
The beer poured a hazy coppery-red colour with a large generous fluffy off-white head. The aroma was extremely hoppy. A lot of floral perfumey hints such as pine, and grapefruit. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, fairly carbonated, and bitter. The flavour was divine. Almost like my morning grapefruit in beer form. My first Rogue beer, and it didn't disappoint. |

2403 | Headstrong Pale Ale | United States | English Pale Ale | 4.0
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 473ml can
5.5% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
April 3, 2008

Can says it was brewed by the Big Hole Brewing Company of La Crosse, Wisconsin (same brewer that is bringing in the Yankee Jim shit!). Surprise Surprise.....the website on the side of the can does not work although the picture matches what is here on the website.

The beer poured a beautiful translucent rusty red colour with a generous white fluffy head that quickly faded to islands on the top. The aroma is a combination of florally hops (subtle) and some caramel malt (strong). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some good carbonation, not a lot (there is some slight effervescence in the glass). The flavour has some hints of malt, but has that wonderful grapefruit-tinged hoppy bitterness I like.

Maybe Big Hole Brewing knows how to brew a beer after all. |

The colour is a translucent dark orange-gold with a fluffy white head. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, with some mild carbonation. The flavour is slightly sweet, with a slight bitter finish. |

2405 | Bud Light | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.1
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company
April 14, 2008
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
4.0% ABV
$2.00
The beer pours a very translucent pale yellow (almost clear with yellow food colouring added to give it a tinge of colour). The aroma is weakly malty, with nothing else. The mouthfeel was very thin, watery with little carbonation. The flavour was watery as well, again water with a little bit of artificial beer taste added. I have to admit, while there was nothing spectacular about this beer, it went down very fast. |

The beer poured a slightly translucent dark ruby red with a very thin white head. The aroma was all raspberries with some faint hints of malt. The mouthfeel was weak and slightly watery with very little carbonation. The flavour was very much like a weak raspberry tea with a slight sourness. Nowhere near the same calibre of beer as the raspberry wheat. |
