2327 Bud Light Lime United States Light / Lite Lager 1.3

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

Brewed in Canada under license by the Labatt Brewing Company Limited
October 21, 2009
355ml can
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
4.20% ABV
Canned On: Unknown
$1.60
The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a generous white head that disappears quickly. The aroma was phenolic in nature and not appealing at all. The mouthfeel was weak bodied, flat, and lightly carbonated (odd considering the huge head). The flavour was flat, citrusy, and weakly malty. This was a pretty bad beer even by swill standards which makes it even more surprising that the masses love it so much.

The aroma was combination of yeast, spice, and bready malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was malt, some citrus and licorice tones, and some leather. I was expecting a WHOLE lot more.

650ml bottle
10.0% ABV
I tried this beer on November 27, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured an opaque brownish-black with a thin light-brown head. The aroma was roasted malt, vanilla, butterscotch, and alcohol (definitely noticeable). The mouthfeel was full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, butterscotch, a bitter finish...and alcohol.

Without the alcohol aroma or taste, this beer would have scored higher. It's not a lot, but it was definitely noticeable in my sample.

The beer poured a semi-translucent orange brown with a thin tan coloured head...very light for a Quad. The aroma was very weak, but did have some malt and yeast. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, and mildly carbonated. The flavour was sweet malt, sugar, yeast, and plums. A good beer, but not in the same class as Trappist/Belgian quad

Surprise Surprise.....the website on the side of the can does not work although the picture matches what is here on the website.

The beer poured a beautiful translucent rusty red colour with a generous white fluffy head that quickly faded to islands on the top. The aroma is a combination of florally hops (subtle) and some caramel malt (strong). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some good carbonation, not a lot (there is some slight effervescence in the glass). The flavour has some hints of malt, but has that wonderful grapefruit-tinged hoppy bitterness I like.

Maybe Big Hole Brewing knows how to brew a beer after all.

The aroma is weakly malty, with nothing else. The mouthfeel was very thin, watery with little carbonation. The flavour was watery as well, again water with a little bit of artificial beer taste added. I have to admit, while there was nothing spectacular about this beer, it went down very fast.
