The aroma is dark fruit, chocolate, caramel, and yeast. Definitely detecting some Quad notes here. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, creamy, with ample carbonation. The flavour starts off sweet with notes of caramel and molasses, with some roasted malt character, some spice, almost peppery in fact, followed by yeast and a chocolatey note. Lots of flavours in this once it warms.

The head is a minimal brown film on the top. The aroma is quite complex with notes of bourbon, wood, maple, and coffee. The mouthfeel is full bodied with good carbonation. The flavour is bourbon soaked wood, some alcohol hints (quite warming as it goes down), dark coffee, vanilla, and chocolate. You can smell the maple, but you don’t really taste it. I am concerned that one of the ingredients in this beer is potassium sorbate!

The aroma of whiskey shoots straight out of the bottle while being poured. There are notes of vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate as well, but the whiskey overpowers all. The mouthfeel is full bodied, very creamy, warming, and the carbonation is average. The flavour is dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and a hint of whiskey. A well balanced stout with a complex aroma from one of America’s better brewer and excellent value for the money!

The aroma is roasted malt, milk chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, and vanilla. No peppers on the nose. The mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, and amply carbonated. The peppers come through in the flavour along with the cinnamon and milk chocolate notes. The roasted malt is there, but you feel the peppers and alcohol as it goes down the hatch.

The flavour is grainy malt, some tropical fruit notes, and a mild bitter hop finish. There is also a weak caramel note that just lingers on the tongue. Another ‘not a bad’ beer. From the LCBO.

The flavour is well balanced between tart cherry and sweet cherry flavours, with some grains, burnt wood, vinegar, and yeast thrown into the mix. A very fine beer.

The aroma is pine, grapefruity hops, biscuit grains and light spice notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is reminiscent of a solid American west coast IPA pre-2012 with notes of pine, caramel, and grapefruit finished with a bitter hop bite. Quite good when given the abundance of tropical fruit IPAs these days.

The aroma is quite complex as both the tart cherries, and burnt wood are prominent. There are hints of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee as well, but it is the tart cherries and wood that dominate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, and with above average carbonation. The flavour is both chocolatey and tart at the same time. There are also notes of roast and coffee in the mix. Looks good, smells good, feels good, but does not taste good. Nor am I a fan of the dark frosted bottle as I can’t see how much yeast was left on the bottom.

The beer pours a turbid Indian red colour with a short lived (and by short lived I mean seconds) white cap. The ring around the edge does last forever though. The aroma is tart chrries, yeast, sour grains, and an unrecognizable funky smell. The mouthfeel is puckering, medium to full bodied, with ample amounts of carbonation. The flavour is both very tart, and very fruity. The cherries aren’t as pronounced in the flavour as they are in the aroma but still there. Some grains and yeast are also present but this is a very sour beer. As previously stated, this is nowhere near quad like in what we have to think of is a quad. But it is quite good.

The flavour has strong notes of grapefruit, caramel, grassy malt, and finished bitter. My kind of Imperial IPA after all these tropical wimpy wannabees from the last few years!

The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and weak hints of dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The beer is very one dimensional.

There is a nice amount of lacing left down the glass. The aroma is bready malt, citrus, light yeast, and musty hops. The mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly creamy, and has good carbonation. The flavour is nicely balanced between the caramel maltiness, and the citrusy hops, but neither side really yields a lot of flavour punch.

The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet malt with a bitter hop finish. My first BMC product in ages, and it will be ages before I try another one.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between the malted grains and the tart tropical fruit with the tartness lingering on the tongue for a while. Not bad for a year old gose, but I do wonder how it would have been if it was fresher.

The flavour is sweet wheat and bubble gum to start, giving way to charred wood, and spices in the finish. Again, a very interesting beer.

There are hints of grass, and a bitter hoppy finish, but this is pie in a beer glass.
