Aroma is Chimay yeast, orange and apple notes, spices and a hint of alcohol. Mouthfeel is full bodied, with good carbonation. Flavour is light fruits, the yeast and alcohol are certainly noticeable, and a bitter finish. Very similar to the Chimay White, with the alcohol definitely more noticeable.

Very enjoyable.

There is both a sweetness and a sourness to the finish with the sour winning out.

Alcohol is the firest thing I taste followed by some sweet fruit notes, yeast, and spices. Over the course of the hour, the alcohol does become less noticeable.

The aroma is yeast, grass, some citrus, and a touch of honey. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. Flavour is sweet, grainy with notes of honey and yeast. Quite enjoyable.

I do prefer the regular Gulden Draak to this, but still quite good.

An excellent beer.

Flavour is yeast, light fruit, honey, herbal hops, and some grains. A bitter, yet tangy aftertaste is apparent.

The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, plums, vanilla, and yeast. Quite enjoyable. No notice of the alcohol as found in a previous review.

A huge fan of St. Bernardus, and this is a very good beer.

The mouthfeel was full-bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour was dark malt, plums, nutmeg, yeast, and roasted malt. Another great beer from my favourite brewer!

The aroma is Belgian yeast, grains, candy sugar, and lemony citrus notes. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation, despite the constant stream of bubbles in the Spencer Trappist glass. The flavours are very similar to the aroma. A nice Belgian Strong Ale with notes of grains, some honey, some , a little spiciness, and it warms the belly nicely, and since it is -10 outside, that’s not a bad thing.

The aroma is very hoppy with notes of pine and citrus, followed by honey, yeast, and grains. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is citrusy hops, notes of burnt sugar&#47;caramel, grains, and hints of yeast and honey. An interesting beer. Not very tripel like and not very IIPA like. Yet still enjoyable.
