There is a definite sour component to the flavour that is balanced by a milky sweetness. An interesting and enjoyable brew by one of the first craft brewers I discovered and enjoyed!

While the aroma is very macro oriented, the flavour is quite clean with very little acidic or metallic notes.

The flavour is well balanced between sweet chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt, and licorice. Rich and decadent, and maybe too much so.

I was expecting more tropical juiciness, which may have been a reach for a macro brewer.

Flavour is a nice melding of the coffee, roast and dark fruit flavours, with a mild bitterness in the finish. An excellent way to start the evening.

The flavour had notes of bourbon, vanilla, coffee, and chocolate. More complex and therefore better than the regular porter.
