The worst of the Alexander Keith Hop series ales by far!

The first flavour note is yeast, followed by some light apple and citrus, and unfortunately, the alcohol is very noticeable.

The flavour is just as the aroma would indicate….pumpkin pie in a glass. Sadly, they were unable to hide the 10% alcohol, but it’s warming the belly, and it’s cold outside. I really like the first few sips of this!

The flavour is alcohol, sweet grains, and an oily bitterness. If somebody handed me this in a glass and didn’t tell me what it was, I would think it is more of a malt liquor, or high ABV North American style lager.

The flavour is nicely balanced between the sweet malt notes, the piney notes, and the citrusy hop notes.

The flavour is grains, yeast, and noticeable alcohol. There is a definite alcohol burn as well.

The mouthfeel is very light and heavily carbonated, again, more akin to a white wine than a cider. The flavour is light apple with hints of alcohol. It’s actually quite nice. I was a bit worried after trying their peach cider &#40;which was more alcoholic soda pop than cider&#41;, but this is a good cider in my opinion.

The flavour is citrus forward, grassy, with a bitter hop finish. A decade ago this was often listed in Top 10 lists for Canada’s best IPAs, and I loved it, but I can’t believe what I had today is the same IPA served in 2010.
