2378 Whitewater Brewing Peanut Butter and Raspberry Shake Canada Milk Stout 3.5

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

March 11, 2022
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
473ml can
4.50%
Canned On: November 16, 2021
$3.95
The beer pours a solid coca-cola colour with a creamy light tan coloured head which lasts a while and leaves some good lacing down the glass. The aroma is peanut forward with grassy malts and coffee in the mix. I don’t get any raspberry whatsoever. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The raspberry does come through in the flavour, but is still very light and lost in the mix of chocolate and peanuts. Finish isn’t very bitter at all.

2381 Whitewater Brewing Wild Bog Cranberry Sour Canada Wild Ale 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

November 23, 2019
LCBO Outlet #010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Summerhill)
473ml can
6.0% ABV
Canned On: September 24, 2019
$3.25
First off, I want to say that there are too many wild ale/sour ales/goses being made by Ontario brewers. It needs to stop! The beer pours a highly hazed pinkish-gold with a very short lived white head. The aroma is yeast, grass, and tart cranberries. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is primarily on the tart side with some weak grains. While the flavour is tart, it doesn’t scream cranberry to me.

Not a bad beer, but not something I would try again.

2385 Windswept Brewing The Wolf of Glen Moray (9.0%) United Kingdom Scottish Ale 3.3

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6

October 26, 2019
LCBO Outlet #457 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Yonge Eglinton Centre)
330ml bottle with case
9.0% ABV
Bottle #972 of 4344
Best Before: July 31, 2022
$4.95
$4.95<br> The beer pours a very foamy pour. And it takes 5 or so minutes to settle down. Once settles, the beer is a translucent dark copper colour with a HUGE bubble tan coloured head which lasts. The aroma is molasses, whisky, roasted malt, and caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is alcohol, smoked wood, peat, caramel, and leather. A lot of barrel, not a lot of Scotch ale. Not a favourite of mine.

250ml bottle
4.3% ABV

Two things pop out at me right away. The label says "The fruity pink beer" and it contains "aspartame". So, a fruity pink diet beer?

I tried this 'beer' on May 29, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a reddish pink colour with a thin white head that stuck around. The aroma was sour raspberries and grainy malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and highly carbonated. The flavour was sugary sweet. It tasted very good, but not beer-like. More like what Canadians call a 'Cooler'

Effervescence is high and lacing is average. The aroma is bready malts, yeast, light cherry, and musty hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is hard to define. There are some light grains, but the cherry flavour is earthy and bitter more than it iss tart. My least favourite Woodhouse brew yet.
