The flavour was smooth with some grainy malt, some spice, and a slight hoppy bitter finish.

I actually enjoyed this one more than the 16 year and 18 year versions.

The flavour is smoke, roasted malt, nuts, coffee, and again finished with the taste of whiskey. I really can't tell a difference between the 16 and the 18 (aside from the $1.00 in price)....both are very good beers.

The flavour is strong on the roasted malt end with just a hint of raspberry. A very malty beer but I enjoy that in my porters and stouts.

Dark fruit and roasted malt round out the flavour. Definitely a beer for sharing.

The aroma is a combination of florally hops (subtle) and some caramel malt (strong). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some good carbonation, not a lot (there is some slight effervescence in the glass). The flavour has some hints of malt, but has that wonderful grapefruit-tinged hoppy bitterness I like. <Br> <br> Maybe Big Hole Brewing knows how to brew a beer after all.
