As this is usually regarded as the original lager/pilsner , it was a bit dissapointing to me. Hardly any aroma, not much body, and a lack of lingering aftertaste. Easily beaten by loads of other similar type beers. But it is a very good thirstquencher!

I usually don't drink lagers, but as i was in Holland, and a friend served it... Hard to fathom why this got so popular, no aroma almost, tastes like water from a ditch... In Belgium we have a bad joke going like this : There's a Belgian, Dutch and British brewer meeting one morning to discuss their trade. The British orders a nice Pale Ale, the Dutch his Heineken, and the Belgian .... a Heineken !!! the British and Dutch are so amazed at this, so they ask the Belgian why . His response: "It's morning, i never drink beer in the morning! " summons it up really...

This unfiltered blonde has a quite sweet aroma,and when drinking has hints of spices and mostly banana.They might have slightly overdone it with the aroma-hops (Hersbrucker) Mouthfeel could be denser, but all in all this is an easy and nice drink.

This is a most refreshing and interesting well made IPA. Lots of citrussy touches make for a fantastic harmonious balance with the hoppy bitterness.Looooong lingering nice aftertaste Small local brewery, if in the area it's really worth a try!

yes, not the body of the 12. But this beer is still an explosion of flavours. fruity yet malty what the *****, it's a delight ! Their beers proves that monk are useful after all :-)
