So, I'll just wear my Levi's and drink my beer. Snobs, all of them.

$3 probably makes more sense... That's what I was saying Cottrell, brand name for anything is going to cost more even though the quality might not be higher. I guess wine is the same way, a lot of people who don't care how much money they spend drink wine (because they are high class) Why not charge them higher prices if they're willing to pay it. Too many beer drinkers buy beer based on price - that's why bud, coors, mich, beast, busch... etc is so popular.

In Reply To #32 Yeah, that's funny. I remember when I was in college and drinking Killians, all my friends, who drank coors light when they could afford it, always wondered why I drank the "expensive" beer.

But I have to admit there was a time when I thought $3/bottle had to be the most expensive beer in the world.

In Reply To #20 Hi, Brett. I'm a fan of CAMRA, too. I bought the Good Beer Guide before my recent business trip to England. There is nothing better than fresh, cask-conditioned ale--unfiltered, unpasteurized, and hand pulled from the cellar! There is a Real Ale movement here in Northern Virginia. Old Dominion hosted their 8th annual beer festival in June. There were 7 cask-conditioned ales this year, and next year--many more, I hope.

In Reply To #36 I visited the UK in March and toted the CAMRA Good Beer Guide everywhere. I almost exclusively went to pubs in the guide. I attempted to try every beer each pub had (which I had not tried before). I can't wait for someone to do a similar guide book in the USA. The fact that CAMRA now has a few members in the USA may make that a possibility one day. B
