In Reply To #1 Where the hell does he keep them all? I used to have one with about 1000 bottles and had no where to keep them, so I kept a few special ones and got rid of the rest.

I have about 200 saved up. I only save the really cool labels, or my favorite beers. There simply isn't enough room to store any more than that. Once I'm done building the bar I can put in some shelving to better display them.

what the hell. did your friend actually drink each of those bottles? i supposed if i were on a mission and willing to pay for empties i could amass a few thousand. i do have about 200-300 empties sitting around in boxes. my girl doesn't like it at all and i'll be forced to chuck most unless I can find a better way to store them. I've tried taking off the labels but most don't seem to come off very well, even after soaking in hot water. i'm not skilled enough i guess oh, i've also considered taking digital pics of all the ones i'm going to toss. I supposed that would be the most resonable thing to do if I can't take off the labels. It would make a cool slide show screen saver haha. i'd have to think of a good way to display them as i take the photo and to prove they were mine!

ya, he has sampled most of the bottles. Serious drinking problem. Funny, too cause he's going for his PHD! He keeps them in storage. He's apparently quite the seriouis colelctor, trading online and shit. Whatever floats yer boat!

About the only collection I've got is about 150 various amber bottles, several 1 litre flippers and a couple of Grolsch bottles. None of them have the original brew in them however. They're used to bottle home brew.
