Beerpal local gatherings

Beer Events by CLASH

Nothing builds a beer community like local gatherings. I say we should organize gatherings of local BP users based on region. If anyone who lives in the Southeastern US would like to participate in a gathering at some point let me know. And hopefully others will organize thier own regional gatherings as well.

Madison County Hops FEST Sept. 18, 19 Madison County NY was at one time the largest HOPS producing area in the country. There will be tours, history and Micro brewery tastings. It takes place in Oneida NY. Lived in the area 8 years and never checked it out. I think its time Go to theMadison County website for details. If folks are interested in attending let me know We can get a tasting together.

That's nuts. Were they all from your collection or did everyone donate? I'll be having a tasting at my new place outside Philly next month probably. My 2000 Chimay magnum has been begging me to open it. I'll need to use some 1993 Courage to do it.

In Reply To #13 Three of us supplied the beer, I donated close to half of them myself. Of course now my beer cabinet is empty except for a couple Stone 040404 and Symposium, I have no money to fill it back up. The gathering was worth it though, I recommend anyone thinking of haveing to definately do it.

I am thinking of having a gathering at my place. We shall see how many people I can have, as I have a studio apartment. But once the details are rolling, i will make sure I let people know. (If i've determined there is room) -Eric

I'll also be having a little gathering probably in June at my new condo. at least 3 BP members are going to be there. It's time to drink my 2000 chimay magnum and someone is bringing Chimay cheese, even though i can't stand the stench of that stuff!

In Reply To #16 I found that the Chimay cheese goes best with the Red OOh that cheese is amazing, is there anywhere around Eastern PA one can buy that?

In Reply To #17 I only had it once, with 3 year old chimay blue. I got a half pound of it at Reading Terminal Market in center city from a place that had dozens of wheels of imported cheese. I think it was about $15 a pound. But it really does smell like stinky feet. big time. you can smell it across a room. i don'tknow how anyone can eat something if it smells bad!
