Tall can from LCBO. Pours a massive frothing tan head and has a deep coppery appearance. Big thick soapy lacing. Medium carbonation. Aromas of grassy and herbal hops, some floral notes with a bit of citrus at the end. Flavours are citrusy, grassy and piney. Some subtle yeasty notes. Lots of hoppy bitterness on the palate. Goes down quite well for high abv (10%). Has a bit of a drying mouthfeel.

355ml can
6.0% ABV
Canned On: October 2, 2019
LCBO Outlet # 010 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Summerhill)
December 14, 2019
$3.98
The beer pours a coca-cola colour with a thin creamy brown head that doesn’t last very long. The aroma is roasted malt, soy sauce, weak coffee, and anise. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, chalky, and with average carbonation. The flavour is bitter coffee, dark chocolate, and some nutty tones. Like the ‘Sweet Spot’ I find this to be a bit bitter for my liking.

View Perth Brewing Pistachio Ho Ho
Reviewed the beer Perth Brewing Pistachio Ho Ho
Perth Brewery is always finding new interesting flavourful ideas. This one really works. Pistachios ?! Who would of thought ? Clean copper colour with a big frothy-creamy beige head, good retention and some foamy lacing. Vanilla nose with cherry notes over the darker malts which are lighter in the mix. With time, chocolate malts come out. The pistachios are felt in the taste giving a nice nuttiness to the beer. The vanilla is lighter and the roasted malts lingers with a tad tartiness. If you like cherry cola and beer, this is a beautiful blend. Very good for the holidays.
