3rd Act Brewery is the brainchild of Steve and Deb Long. It just happens that this is the 3rd career for both Steve and Deb. Steve had two successful stints in two different Fortune 500 companies and Deb had one career in marketing for a Fortune 500 firm and then started her own printing brokerage business. When it came time for the third adventure, both thought that a brewery would be just right since Steve has been a home brewer for over 30 years and is a gradute of the Dakota County Technical College Brewing and Beer Steward Technology program. It also helps that Steve & Deb both love people and beer. Tommy Rodengen, the Head Brewer, took a risk and joined the team even before the building was built. Tommy has extensive commercial brewing experience and we all think he makes some of the best beer around and certainly the widest variety. We all need a place to relax, so why not do it with a fresh craft beer in your hand, brick fired pizza & pretzels, hot dogs, brats and nachos and indoor and outdoor games for all. The beer is brewed right on site and the pizza and pretzels are made in our brick oven right at the bar. We even have home made root beer brewed by Northern Soda from right here in the Twin Cities. Board games are supplied indoors and lawn games are set up outdoors on our large turf play area adjacent to our outdoor patio which is complete with fire pits and heaters for cool nights. On Summer and Fall weekends, we also have two beers on tap in the turf area so you don't have to go back inside to refill. Other things to know: We have ample parking. We have prefilled growlers and crowlers for sale in the Tap Room if you want to take some of this great beer home. We are kid friendly, so bring the whole family as we have games for all ages and soda and root beer for the kids. Due to the fact that we are a brewery and prepare our food fresh on site, The Minnesota Department of Agriculture will not let us have dogs on the premises. We do not offer free beer samples but do have generous 5 oz. pours for only $3 or you can try a flight of four 5 oz. pours (a full 20 ounces) for only $11 to see which beers you really like. This is much more efficient and accurate way of sampling our beer.
