Ambrée de Sarrasin is a clear, sparkling, light-copper beer crowned by a thick, effervescent and long-lasting head of small bubbles. It exudes an aroma of grains and spices which reminds the sweetness of spiced bread with a zest of orange. Dense, complex and smooth to the taste, this beer is long-lasting to the palate, with its flavours of buckwheat and caramel tainted with clove, pepper, cinnamon and vanilla.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a small foamy head with average retention. Aroma of buckwheat is actually noticeable (as opposed to a bunch of beer out there with so-called buckwheat in an so small quantity that it is impossible to distinguish and quite enjoyable. Taste is also noticeable by the light bitter buckwheat tasting with very little hops. Still a bit one-sided but probably one of the best beer from this brewery.

Nice ambrée color,the aroma cereal (buckwheat)is definitely there.This beer was somehhat thin on the flavor not malty enough kind of a light beer a bit watery, mouthfeel speaking.Mostly no head but with o.k carbonation,anyway this beer must be the best this brewery produce.

Bottle: puts an amber beer in my pint glass with a 1 finger frothy head that lasts and laces well. Wonderful nose to this brew...sweet spices, bready, hint of tangerine peel. Nicely crafted flavor profile: sweet bready malts toned with spicey tastes: cloves, pepper, cinnamon and vanilla....long smooth mouth feel...long finish with bready spices almost like a heffe weiss...a nice buckwheat concoction.

clear red-amber colour, fine head, subtle aroma: smokey, floral and peppery, medium-bodied, strange character-less flavour, grainy finish - the flavour does not live up to the very interesting aroma

This buckwheat beer poured a copper-amber colour with a small head and not much lacing. You can definatly smell the buckwheat, also mixed with the malty and hints of nuts. The taste is composed of sweet malts and fruitiness. It has a nice slight bitter finish and a medium mouthfeel. Even though I really like this beer, I still prefer its competition, "Coup de Grisou" from Brasseurs RJ in Montreal.
