Pours out extremely dark reddish brown with a massive tan foamy head. The aroma is of faint hops and spice. The mouthfeel is okay not thick and not thin. The flavor is mostly just hops it's so bad I poured it out 3/4 of a bomber.

22 oz. bottle, with harpoon crown underneath foil. The pour resulted in a small head, with multiple streams of carbonation through the orange colored fluid. The smells leaves something to be desired. It has an up front belgian smell, but lacks depth. The taste is similar. The taste was mildly spicy and very sweet, with a great yeasty taste. I swirled the last bit in the bottle and poured it in. The yeast add a pleasant taste to the brew. Mouthfeel is light, and finishes quickly. This was a good attempt at a difficult style. I won't be purchasing it again, as there are better abbey dubbels out there to choose from, but cheers to Harpoon for experimenting.
