Thousands of years ago, the Olmec civilization became the first people to begin fermenting and drinking chocolate. Today we continue that tradition with this bourbon barrel aged imperial mole stout. As mysterious as a hidden temple, this stout will leave you searching through the complex layers of dried chilies, cinnamon, vanilla beans and cacao nibs. Salud! Olmec is our “Mole” Stout brewed with Cacao Nibs, Cinnamon, Vanilla and local, dried chilis. While there are alot of ingredients here, this beer was brewed with balance in mind. This batch was aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels for 7 months. 400 bottles released

Rated March 2017. 50cl bottle pours with a deep dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, malt balls, spicy wood, chocolate and thin spicy booze. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, chocolate, some spicy wood and then spicy booze. The boozy spicy booze note persists right into the finish.
