Clean, dark brown colour with ruby-copper highlights, a nice big warm-beige frothy head, good retention and good lacing left. Beautiful aromas of nuts (more like hazelnuts), caramel, coffee and some raspberries blending the fruitiness. The taste shows a little more the berries upfront, but the peanuts catch up to balance this. Not as powerful as the nose, so you get the roasted malts as base. Not too thick in the mouthfeel, so almost a Schwarzbier that goes down nicely. I really enjoy brew that I have been trying to find for a while. Nice to bring it back in their mix pack.

The beer pours a solid coca-cola colour with a creamy light tan coloured head which lasts a while and leaves some good lacing down the glass. The aroma is peanut forward with grassy malts and coffee in the mix. I don’t get any raspberry whatsoever. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The raspberry does come through in the flavour, but is still very light and lost in the mix of chocolate and peanuts. Finish isn’t very bitter at all. -

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a nice big frothy tan head with thick soapy lace and has a dark brownish appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of raspberries and chocolate, some nutty and earthy notes, a bit wheaty as well. Flavours are mostly the raspberries at first followed up with some peanut buttery notes, very nutty, and some chocolate to finish off. A little bit sweet on the palate. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. Not too bad and not too rich either.
